The global food system faces complex environmental and socio-political challenges. Liechtenstein's bilateral development cooperation through the LED aims to improve the food security and resilience of smallholder farmers to ecological, economic and political shocks and to strengthen the resilience of the ecosystems that surround them.

With its commitment to vocational training, the LED aims to improve employability and the skills of the labour force in the selected partner countries. Primary target groups are young people and women, marginalised and vulnerable groups. Particular attention is paid to labour markets that have the potential to employ many people and that also offer good working conditions.

 

Along with the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), the Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (DEZA), the LED is a member of the Donor Committee for Dual Vocational Education and Training (DC dVET).
