Foreign Minister visits organic farms in Tanzania

During the second part of her Tanzania trip Dominique Hasler was impressed by the LED's organic farming projects, which is illustrated by the foreign minister's various tweets showing her several farm visits around the city of Morogoro. The local partners demonstrated to her and the LED the systemic cycle of how knowledge about agroecology taught at Sokoine University of Agriculture is applied in SAT training farms and later disseminated to small-scale farmers throughout the country.

For LED Managing Director Andreas Sicks, the joint visit with the Foreign Minister in Tanzania is a milestone. LED's long-standing commitment together with its local partner SAT (Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania) paves the way for sustainable agroecology in the East African country of Tanzania, which continues to struggle for food security.
